Price Match Policy

PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE

Effective upon posting

At NC Discount Furniture, we work hard to offer competitive pricing on quality furniture and home furnishings.

If you find an eligible item offered by a qualifying competitor at a lower price, NC Discount Furniture may match that price in accordance with the terms of this Price Match Guarantee.

Our goal is to provide competitive value while ensuring that price comparisons are made fairly between identical products, comparable delivery services, and legitimate authorized retailers.

1. HOW OUR PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE WORKS

NC Discount Furniture will match an eligible competitor's lower price when all requirements of this policy are satisfied.

A price match may be requested:

  • Before placing an order; or

  • Within 7 calendar days after placing an order, provided the merchandise has not already been delivered.

All price-match requests are subject to verification by NC Discount Furniture.

2. THE PRODUCT MUST BE IDENTICAL

The competitor's merchandise must be the exact same product offered by NC Discount Furniture.

This generally means the same:

  • Manufacturer

  • Brand

  • Collection

  • Model number

  • Manufacturer SKU

  • Size

  • Configuration

  • Orientation

  • Finish

  • Color

  • Fabric

  • Leather

  • Hardware

  • Quantity

  • Components

  • Included accessories

For upholstered or configurable furniture, the competitor's price must be based on the same fabric, leather, finish, configuration, and other selections.

Products that appear similar but have different model numbers, configurations, materials, finishes, components, or specifications are not considered identical for purposes of this policy.

3. THE COMPETITOR MUST BE AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER

The competing retailer must be an authorized seller of the applicable manufacturer's merchandise.

NC Discount Furniture may verify authorized-dealer status directly with the manufacturer.

Price matches are not available for merchandise offered by unauthorized sellers or sellers whose merchandise cannot reasonably be verified as authentic, new, and manufacturer-authorized.

4. THE MERCHANDISE MUST BE NEW

The competing product must be:

  • Brand new

  • Factory-authorized

  • First-quality merchandise

  • Unused

  • Undamaged

  • Currently available for purchase

The following are not eligible:

  • Used merchandise

  • Open-box merchandise

  • Returned merchandise

  • Refurbished merchandise

  • Scratch-and-dent merchandise

  • Damaged merchandise

  • Floor samples

  • Display models

  • Outlet merchandise

  • As-is merchandise

unless NC Discount Furniture expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

5. THE PRODUCT MUST BE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

The competitor must have the merchandise currently available for purchase or be able to place a valid manufacturer order for the merchandise at the quoted price.

Prices on:

  • Sold-out items

  • Unavailable items

  • Discontinued merchandise

  • Expired listings

  • Cancelled products

  • Products that cannot actually be ordered

are not eligible for a price match.

NC Discount Furniture may contact the competing retailer or manufacturer to verify availability.

6. WE COMPARE THE TOTAL DELIVERED VALUE

Furniture prices cannot always be compared based solely on the advertised merchandise price.

When determining whether another retailer offers a lower price, NC Discount Furniture may compare the total price of obtaining the same merchandise with a comparable level of service.

This may include:

  • Merchandise price

  • Required shipping charges

  • Freight charges

  • Residential delivery charges

  • White-Glove Delivery

  • Room-of-Choice Delivery

  • Assembly

  • Required handling fees

  • Other mandatory charges associated with receiving the merchandise

Applicable sales tax generally will not be used to determine eligibility because tax obligations may vary based on the customer's location and retailer nexus.

Example

If a competitor advertises a sofa for:

$1,700

but charges:

$300 freight

the relevant comparable price may be:

$2,000

If NC Discount Furniture offers the identical sofa for $1,900 with comparable delivery included, the competitor would not qualify as offering a lower comparable price.

7. DELIVERY SERVICE MUST BE COMPARABLE

The competitor's delivery service must be substantially comparable to the delivery service included with the NC Discount Furniture offer.

For example, the following are not necessarily equivalent:

  • Curbside delivery vs. White-Glove Delivery

  • Threshold delivery vs. Room-of-Choice Delivery

  • Drop-off delivery vs. delivery with assembly

  • Customer pickup vs. residential delivery

  • Freight-terminal pickup vs. in-home delivery

NC Discount Furniture may adjust the comparison to account for material differences in delivery service.

8. WRITTEN PROOF OF THE COMPETING PRICE IS REQUIRED

Customers requesting a price match must provide documentation sufficient for NC Discount Furniture to verify the competing offer.

Acceptable documentation may include:

  • A link to the competitor's publicly available product page;

  • A written competitor quote;

  • A formal sales proposal;

  • A dated invoice or estimate;

  • A screenshot accompanied by a verifiable website link;

  • Other documentation acceptable to NC Discount Furniture.

The documentation must reasonably identify:

  • Competitor

  • Manufacturer

  • Product

  • Model or SKU

  • Configuration

  • Price

  • Delivery charges

  • Applicable service level

  • Quote date

  • Other material conditions of the offer

NC Discount Furniture may contact the competitor to verify the offer.

9. WRITTEN COMPETITOR QUOTES

Because some furniture retailers do not publicly display their lowest selling price, NC Discount Furniture may consider legitimate written competitor quotes.

A written quote must:

  • Be current;

  • Be issued by an eligible competitor;

  • Identify the exact merchandise;

  • Identify the applicable price;

  • Identify applicable delivery charges;

  • Identify material conditions;

  • Be reasonably verifiable.

Handwritten, altered, incomplete, expired, or unverifiable quotations may be declined.

10. INTERNET-ONLY PRICES

Prices offered by legitimate online furniture retailers may qualify when all other requirements of this policy are satisfied.

The competitor must actually sell and deliver the merchandise to the customer's location at the quoted price.

A price offered only in another market or delivery region where the customer cannot purchase the product does not qualify.

11. MARKETPLACE SELLERS

Prices from third-party marketplace sellers generally do not qualify.

Examples may include independent sellers operating through:

  • Amazon Marketplace

  • Walmart Marketplace

  • eBay

  • Facebook Marketplace

  • Craigslist

  • Temu

  • AliExpress

  • Other third-party marketplaces

A marketplace listing may be considered only if the actual seller independently satisfies all requirements of this policy, including authorized-retailer status, and NC Discount Furniture can reasonably verify the offer.

12. AUCTION & PEER-TO-PEER PRICING

We do not price match:

  • Auctions

  • Peer-to-peer sales

  • Individual private sellers

  • Estate sales

  • Resale platforms

  • Classified advertisements

  • Social-media resale listings

13. CLEARANCE, LIQUIDATION & CLOSEOUT PRICING

The following generally do not qualify:

  • Clearance

  • Closeout

  • Going-out-of-business sales

  • Liquidation pricing

  • Store-closing sales

  • Bankruptcy sales

  • Floor-model pricing

  • Outlet pricing

  • Discontinued-item liquidation

  • One-of-a-kind merchandise

  • Inventory blowouts

These offers often involve merchandise or circumstances that are not comparable to a standard factory-direct retail order.

14. MEMBER-ONLY & RESTRICTED PRICING

Prices that require eligibility unavailable to the general public generally do not qualify.

Examples may include:

  • Employee discounts

  • Manufacturer employee pricing

  • Friends-and-family discounts

  • Military-only discounts

  • Student discounts

  • Senior discounts

  • Corporate employee programs

  • Private membership pricing

  • Wholesale pricing

  • Trade pricing

  • Designer pricing

  • Contractor pricing

  • Dealer pricing

NC Discount Furniture may choose to honor such pricing at its discretion, but it is not required under this Price Match Guarantee.

15. COUPONS & PROMOTIONAL CODES

Competitor coupons or promotional codes may qualify only when:

  • The promotion is publicly available;

  • The customer meets all published eligibility requirements;

  • The coupon applies to the exact merchandise;

  • The promotion has not expired;

  • The promotion does not violate manufacturer pricing restrictions; and

  • The resulting purchase can be independently verified.

Single-use coupons, targeted coupons, employee codes, account-specific offers, referral credits, loyalty rewards, gift cards, and similar individualized discounts generally do not qualify.

16. BUNDLES & PACKAGE PRICING

Bundle or package pricing may not qualify when the competing offer includes multiple products or services that prevent an accurate item-by-item comparison.

Examples include:

  • Buy-one-get-one promotions

  • Free furniture with purchase

  • Bedroom packages

  • Whole-room packages

  • Free accessory offers

  • Gift-with-purchase promotions

NC Discount Furniture may consider a package-price comparison when the products and services are identical and the total transaction can reasonably be compared.

17. FINANCING PROMOTIONS

Financing terms are separate from merchandise pricing.

We generally do not price match:

  • Interest rates

  • Monthly payments

  • Deferred-interest offers

  • Financing incentives

  • Credit-card promotions

  • Financing rebates

unless NC Discount Furniture expressly agrees otherwise.

18. CASHBACK, REWARDS & GIFT CARDS

The value of the following generally is not considered part of the competitor's price:

  • Cashback programs

  • Credit-card rewards

  • Loyalty points

  • Store rewards

  • Future-purchase credits

  • Gift cards

  • Referral credits

  • Third-party cashback websites

These benefits are separate from the actual selling price of the merchandise.

19. TYPOGRAPHICAL & PRICING ERRORS

NC Discount Furniture will not match an obvious:

  • Typographical error

  • Website error

  • Data-feed error

  • Pricing error

  • Decimal error

  • Incorrect SKU price

  • Incorrect configuration price

A competitor must actually be willing and able to sell the qualifying merchandise at the stated price.

20. MANUFACTURER MAP & IMAP RESTRICTIONS

Some furniture manufacturers establish Minimum Advertised Price, Internet Minimum Advertised Price, or other authorized-dealer pricing requirements.

NC Discount Furniture complies with applicable manufacturer pricing agreements and policies.

A requested price match may not be available when honoring the requested price would violate an applicable manufacturer pricing restriction, dealer agreement, promotional restriction, or other contractual obligation.

When possible, NC Discount Furniture may discuss other lawful promotional or value options available for the merchandise.

21. CUSTOM & SPECIAL-ORDER MERCHANDISE

Price comparisons involving:

  • Custom upholstery

  • Customer-selected fabrics

  • Customer-selected leather

  • Custom finishes

  • Custom configurations

  • Made-to-order merchandise

  • Special-order merchandise

must be based on identical selections and specifications.

A competitor's price for a standard configuration cannot be used to price match a custom configuration.

22. PRICE MATCHES BEFORE PURCHASE

Customers are encouraged to request a price match before placing an order.

Once NC Discount Furniture verifies that the competing offer satisfies this policy, we may provide:

  • A price-match quote;

  • A promotional adjustment;

  • A custom checkout price;

  • A promotional code;

  • Another method of applying the approved price.

The approved price match may have an expiration date based on manufacturer pricing or availability.

23. PRICE MATCHES AFTER PURCHASE

A customer may request a price match within 7 calendar days of placing the NC Discount Furniture order, provided the merchandise has not already been delivered.

The competing offer must:

  • Exist at the time the request is submitted;

  • Meet all requirements of this policy; and

  • Be independently verifiable.

If approved, NC Discount Furniture will refund the eligible price difference to the original payment method or otherwise apply the adjustment as appropriate.

24. PRICE CHANGES AFTER THE 7-DAY PERIOD

Furniture prices and manufacturer promotions change regularly.

Price changes occurring more than 7 calendar days after an order is placed do not qualify for a retroactive adjustment under this policy.

25. PRICE MATCHES DO NOT RESET OTHER TERMS

Approval of a price match does not:

  • Restart a cancellation period;

  • Change return eligibility;

  • Modify manufacturer warranty coverage;

  • Change delivery terms;

  • Change special-order status;

  • Change product configuration;

  • Create a new order date.

All other NC Discount Furniture policies continue to apply to the order.

26. ONE PRICE MATCH PER ITEM

Unless NC Discount Furniture expressly agrees otherwise, an item is eligible for one approved price adjustment.

Price matches cannot be repeatedly applied as competitor pricing changes.

27. QUANTITY LIMITS

NC Discount Furniture reserves the right to limit the quantity of merchandise eligible for a price match when:

  • The competitor limits quantity;

  • The offer is intended for household use;

  • The purchase involves unusually large quantities;

  • Commercial or resale quantities are involved.

Trade, designer, commercial, wholesale, and bulk transactions may be subject to separate pricing programs.

28. COMBINING PRICE MATCHES WITH NCDF PROMOTIONS

Price matches generally cannot be combined with:

  • NC Discount Furniture coupons

  • Promotional codes

  • Referral incentives

  • Designer discounts

  • Realtor incentives

  • Trade discounts

  • Employee discounts

  • Other NC Discount Furniture promotional offers

unless expressly stated otherwise.

The customer may receive the better applicable offer, but discounts generally will not be stacked.

29. SUBSTANTIALLY DIFFERENT TERMS

NC Discount Furniture may determine that two offers are not comparable when the competitor's offer contains materially different conditions.

Examples include differences in:

  • Delivery level

  • Warranty status

  • Product condition

  • Manufacturer authorization

  • Return terms

  • Included components

  • Configuration

  • Fabric or finish

  • Availability

  • Required membership

  • Quantity

  • Geographic availability

Price matching is intended to compare genuinely equivalent purchases.

30. TAXES

Sales tax generally is excluded when comparing merchandise prices because tax treatment may vary based on the customer's delivery location and the competing retailer's tax obligations.

Customers remain responsible for applicable taxes on purchases from NC Discount Furniture.

31. VERIFICATION

NC Discount Furniture reserves the right to independently verify:

  • Competitor identity

  • Authorized-dealer status

  • Product identity

  • SKU

  • Configuration

  • Availability

  • Pricing

  • Delivery cost

  • Delivery service

  • Promotional terms

  • Quote validity

A request may remain pending until sufficient information has been obtained.

32. FRAUDULENT OR ALTERED PRICE MATCH REQUESTS

NC Discount Furniture may deny requests involving:

  • Altered screenshots

  • Modified quotes

  • Fabricated advertisements

  • Falsified competitor information

  • Misrepresented configurations

  • Other materially inaccurate information

Submitting a false price-match request may result in denial of the request.

33. PRICE MATCH APPROVAL

A price match is not approved until NC Discount Furniture confirms approval.

Submitting a request does not guarantee eligibility.

Once approved, the price match applies only to:

  • The identified customer;

  • The identified merchandise;

  • The identified quantity;

  • The approved transaction.

34. RELATIONSHIP TO OUR OTHER POLICIES

An approved price match remains subject to all other applicable NC Discount Furniture policies, including:

  • Cancellation & Order Change Policy

  • Return & Refund Policy

  • Damaged & Defective Merchandise Policy

  • Warranty & Service Policy

  • Shipping & Delivery Policy

  • White-Glove Delivery Terms

35. LEGALLY REQUIRED RIGHTS

Nothing in this Price Match Guarantee is intended to restrict or eliminate any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

NC Discount Furniture will comply with applicable federal, state, and local law.
